Do I need a tongue tie release for therapy to work?

Not always. Many clients make excellent progress with therapy alone. A tongue tie release is recommended only when a restriction is clearly affecting progress or preventing proper tongue movement. Therapy helps determine whether a release is necessary by evaluating tongue posture, mobility, and function.

If a restriction is suspected, you may be referred to a trusted specialist for an evaluation. If a release is recommended, therapy is helpful before and after the procedure to support healing and build proper muscle function. Some clients benefit from both approaches, while others do not need a release at all.

The recommendation is always individualized based on your needs and goals.
